Zack was born and raised in Central Florida, graduating from Bishop Moore Catholic High School before attending Daytona State College.
After college, Zack started his own company designing, building, and installing custom wood furniture in the Orlando area. He later joined an international home builder where he was responsible for overseeing new custom homes as well as large scale home additions and renovations. In this role, Zack formed relationships with his clients, providing him the insight to successfully complete their home project.
As Pre-Construction Manager for BASE Residential, Zack works personally with each client to bring their dreams to reality. He is directly involved in every detail of the Design phase; coordinating with the architect and interior designer, securing permitting approvals, building the budget and creating scopes of work. Zack aims to create an individual experience with every client by understanding and delivering on their unique goals.
With over seven years of experience in the residential construction industry, Zack has a comprehensive understanding of the inner-workings of home projects of any size, from being hands-on at the job site to the full scale management of the overall project.
Each year the Southeast Building Conference produces a New Southern Home. These homes put on display the modern luxury home experience, showcasing the latest in premiere home technology, energy efficiency, entertainment, appliances, and finishes. Zack was the lead Project Manager for the 2020 New Southern Home: Midsummer Manor, completing the project in seven months and going on to win the Parade of Homes MERIT award from the Greater Orlando Builders Association.
While not born in Florida, Drew considers himself native to Orlando. He attended The Geneva School for high school, and graduated from Valencia College with an Associate in Arts. While working at a local bookshop he was introduced to woodworking and furniture making, which sent him down the path to craftsmanship and construction.
After a stint in the pool repair industry Drew took a job with an international home builder working as a project manager. There he learned the basics of residential construction, both the practical and relational aspects of the work. After two and a half years he took a job with David Weekley Homes, working first in the warranty department and then as a builder, supervising the construction of dozens of homes during his tenure. He built lasting relationships with trade partners and enjoyed seeing home-buyers delight in their new homes.
As Construction Project Manager with Base Residential Drew oversees our construction process, from first shovel in the ground to handing the keys to our satisfied clients. He manages trade relations, finds the best match between project and trade partner, and works to ensure everyone on site is safe, well supplied and knowledgeable about the end product. He coordinates with local municipalities to ensure our homes are built according to the latest Florida Building Codes and environmental regulations. He manages billing and invoicing, and keeps a tight construction schedule, making sure our projects stay on budget and on track to finish when we say they will.
Drew spends a lot of time on the job site, and enjoys building relationships with our clients. And when he is not working he spends his time with his wife and two young boys, often either fishing or playing disc golf.
